I've been fishing for a long time. Long enough to know that the most expensive rod isn't always the best one, and that the right gear depends more on where you fish and what you're after than what some marketing department says.

This site is here to help you make good decisions about fishing gear. I share what I know, what I've learned from other anglers, and what the fishing community has to say. If I haven't used something myself, I'll tell you that. If something isn't worth the money, I'll tell you that too.
